The fix
- moisturize dry areas before makeup and let them settle
- choose a satin or fine-shimmer highlighter instead of chunky glitter
- place highlighter slightly above textured pores, not directly on them
- mist lightly if powder highlighter looks dry

Why this works
Glow is controlled reflection. When the reflective particles are large or placed over uneven skin, they make every raised spot more obvious.
