The fix
- let foundation settle for a minute before blush
- pick up blush on fingertips or a sponge instead of swiping the stick directly on the face
- tap color onto cheeks without dragging
- powder only after cream blush has blended in

- Use powder blush if your foundation is already set with powder.
- Apply cream blush before foundation for a softer underpainted look.

- Keep complexion layers thin on the cheeks.
- Avoid mixing silicone-heavy primer, heavy foundation, and oily cream blush in one spot.

Why this works
Cream products blend best with other unset cream products. Once foundation starts drying down, dragging another cream across it can break the film.
Tapping keeps the base in place and lets the blush sit on top. Powder last keeps the finish stable without creating a dry layer that cream blush cannot blend over.
